Traditionally, all telephone headsets connect to telephones via the handset ports. The handsets are either removed or connected to an amplifier or adaptor to remain functional. However, different handsets have different pin-alignments to the telephone units. So in order to properly connect to the telephones, headsets have to have different pin-alignments as well. Today, most telephones come with headset ports, but still the alignments are different across different brands. This is why Accutone® designed the C100 Adaptor for pairing any T-Series headset with any brand of telephones, including PSTN and PaBx. Unlike QD bottom cable, this adaptor connects to headset via the RJ9 modular plug, thus supporting straight-cable headset as well. Additionally, users sometimes find it easier to pick up the handset instead of wearing a headset when they rush back to their desks for a call. The C100 allows connection of the handset giving the choice for a quick switch between headset/handset.
